Objective: Target problem gamblers and provide help to reduce social impact. 'Think of what you're Really Gambling With'. Action resulting from campaign: The target audience, 25-39 years olds, were invited to call a 1800 number offering counselling information. In the first two months, the number of cases handled by Gamblers' Help in this age group increased by 160%. The campaign was so successful that it was endorsed by health promotion professionals and adopted by governments in New South Wales, South Australia and Tasmania. |
